I have 4 forged weld aluminum alloy rims that have a chrome finish. The problem is the chrome finish is pitting. Does anyone know a place that will strip the rim and rechrome it for a decent price in the jersey, philadelphia area. These rims run 450 a pc. Thats why i"m looking to fix them. The rim is 17by8.5 and is on a dodge 2500 4by4. Thanks

If these are aluminum There is no easy repair for plated aluminum, it is impossible to strip cost effectively. if steel they will cost more to strip and re-plate than to buy new. Your only choice is to sand them smooth and have them powder coated in a near chrome finish or leave them alone.
If they are polished aluminum then you just need some elbow grease.
