No we weren't using that fuel for break-in. Too expensive to waste :-D

This was Torco Mach 118. I was warned about this happening and ignored it. This is the exact problem that I was warned about to the very finest detail.... I will NEVER use this fuel again.

How 'Long' Chuck?

Engine sat for about 2 weeks after initial run. All the rings were frozen to the cylinder walls upon teardown.

When I was warned about it, I blew it off thinking full of bolony, had a water leak, etc etc....

Well, we had no water leak.

Actually that is what I was using... the NOS stuff. I got it for free from Torco to try out, so I figured I'd waste the free fuel for testing the car.... It's not a real big deal, I'll have it fixed in a week or so but the fuel has to go. I think it'll get burned up in the dirt bikes this weekend 8)

I stopped using that stuff when I seen the bottom of the 55 gallon stuff. Like you I was warned as well till I seen the bottom of the drum and what my fuel filter looked like. I switched to VP-N2O and their fuel was clean clean clean... << Believe it or not.. Ramchargers has the best pricing on that fuel!!

Jakes Auto in Auburn Hills, on Opdyke rd, by the Silverdome is also a VP Fuels Dealer & has great pricing as well. (248) 475-0000. Joe Jacobs is the owner. He's a great guy & also runs a 64' Plymouth in the NSCA Pro Nostalgia class.

Pour it in the driveway cracks.
as UnderDogg is not here I will have to give todays, gardening tip of the day.

plain old white vinegar works fantastic for killing weeds in the driveway & it cost a fraction of "round up" or any of those other off the shelf race fuels.

OK, now back to your regularly scheduled hot rod stuff.
