2-3 pounds cut up chicken/pheasant pieces
3 tablespoons oil
5 tablespoons Paprika Or more if you like
1 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 teaspoons of minced garlic
1 cup sour cream or more
Dash of basil
Dash of Dry Mustard
Couple throws of Parsley
1 teaspoon Lawarys Salt
Dash of black pepper
3 cups chicken stock
1 cup or so water
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne if ya like it spicy
1 can of diced tomatoes if ya like

Cut up chicken in 2 inch pieces. Cover them in Lawarys salt & pepper. In a stock pot add oil, garlic, onions then brown chicken till just starts getting black marks on it under med heat. DO NOT SCRAP BOTTOM OF PAN. Add Paprika, chicken stock, water and rest of your ingredients except for sour cream. While bringing it up to a boil stir pour stock in slowly and scape off bottom to make like a sauce. Once bottom is scrapped pour in the rest.
Boil till chicken is tender, then let simmer low until dumplings are done.

Home Made Dumplings

3 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup water
Mix together eggs, flour and water and test texture. You don't want it too sticky or too soft. In large pot of boiling water, scoop off small amounts (1/2-tablepoon size) dip spoon into boil water and dumpling will fall off saving your hands from getting messy. Cook until dumplings rise to surface for 30 or so seconds. Dip them out with a hand held strainer into another bowl. Then let them sit for a few to cool.

Finish Chicken Paprikash
Add cooked cooled Dumplings to Chicken Paprika in stock pot
Add Sour cream
Bring to a slight boil again then turn off and serve!!!

Good Stuff for a cool day.
Don't be afraid to add more of anything else to make larger portions.

Enjoy :smt023
