where is the abs module located on a 1994 chevy

Im pretty sure it mounted on but underneath the master cylinder.

left rear brake locks up my I step on the pedal..
shoes are fine..cant find anything..durm is very shiny on inside..tryed adjusting them and cleaning the shoes..still does it.

I even backed it off a little

Change the brake hardware (springs) first, then re-evaluate. Make sure brakes are adjusted properly, backing plate is lubricated where the shoe contacts.

I'd take a look at the hardware for a broken spring or show. Check adjustment. What made you jump directly to abs box ? Code ?

no..just checking stuff..the abs would go off also

Measure your drums and check for shoes being properly arced. It can be an overactive Booster also. The abs will activate if your brakes aren't working properly.

Sounds like the shoes are on backwards, the shoe with the longer friction material goes on the back side of the axle.

Parking brake cable sticking not allowing the shoes to return to the anchor pin? The parking brake strut should be loose between the shoes when the P brake isn't applied.

Aren't both rear wheels fed by the same brake line in that case it should be a problem in that wheel?
