Switched from a 1.76 to 1.80 and now car is violent on hit, went from consistant 1.17~1.19 now wont get out own way b4 blowing tires off. Would tighting convertor help calm it down

going to the 1.80 from the 1.76 isn't going to make that drastic a change,, something else is DIFFERENT,,,, didd you change the converter????????

Is it possible that the new gearset has a different spline length and your driveshaft doesn't have enough in and out clearance? If it gets bound , the rear suspension won't work properly.

The new gearset seemed physically shorter to where old ones stuck out tail shaft and new ones barely come to end of tailshaft

BTE, 1.80's. ill get it jacked up and see how much play I have, im gonna pull convertor and have it checked out there was some shrapnel in the case from where the ole 1.76s expired
