My buddy bought a set of bbc heads that were ported and he want's to know what the true cc's of the intake runners are.How does he do this,does he do it like cc a chamber.I know bbc have a long port and short one.Has anyone done this before.

it's a total waist of time I think, .. doesn't tell you a damn thing about the actual runner
cross sectional area and true airspeed, .. just advertising bullshit.

You can have two runners, .. BOTH measure 300CC as an example, ..
one is the SAME size all the way through, .. the second is HUGE under the valve bowl and
TINY in the port by the pushrod, ..

Same cc's but those two heads would run VERY, VERY different, ..

get a graduated beaker like you can find at e-bag, .. and pour, ..

Make sure you get a glass one and not plastic... the plastic will crack from UV light on it too long and it will also crack with denatured alcohol put into it.
