im looken to make a carbon fiber hood for my malibu. how many layers do i need to do??? thanks earon

Depends on how many ounces the fabric is and part design. Just guessing I'd say 1 5.7 oz carbon, 1 5.7 oz kevlar and 1 11 oz carbon. Hope that helps.

I would like to make just some flat cf panels anyone have any info or made any panels before .. Just looking for ing. plate and some flat covers for spots in the dash nothing fancy just flat cf ...

all of my experience is with pre-preg, and if i was doing that i would say at least 4-5 layers. i don't know a whole lot about the wet layup stuff other than its heavier. but i would have to imagine 4-5 would still be in the ballpark. i can tell you a layer of pre-preg is only .010" so if it was 5 layers your only talkin .050"
