Anybody know the name for them? Are these anything more than a splice connector? Seems real "busy" for just that. They are on an '80's wheel alignment machine so I'm guessing someone is going to say: "Shit! I haven't seen those in 25 years" Are they just a glorified Scotch lock for solid wire?

The wire is single strand...like telephone wire, but slightly thicker.
Sorry about the photo size. I pissed with photobucket for an hour trying to re-size it! Damn...they can't leave anything alone. If you scroll to the right you can see them. Look like a little round Red light.

Yep, as the others pointed out, nothing special. Use a wago, regular or heat shrinkable crimps, scotchlocks, marrettes or just solder and heat shrink to clean them up.

Most hardware stores have them in the Irrigation department.
