If A/S is very high for eather a slick.or radial what would appen???

Can it runs with to much ?
Should the pignon angle be adjusted differently with a high A/S?

With let say 4 to 5 inch seperation should we adjust the pignon angle with the rear extended??

yes, too high of an Anti Squat can be too much for the tire or the chassis.....
its not a static value, and it needs to change based on track conditions...and how your car/chassis reacts
people think they will have a magical bar location that will work everywhere, and it just doesnt...you should know that you probably need to change it for every single pass if the track has a wide range of how good it is prepped or as it changes from morning to mid day to night time
and your shocks have to be better the more A/S you have to put into it to control the extra bite and travel

Pinion wont affect launch unless its so much its causing a binding situation or unless its way out of whack
where it affect the car is down track at speed... watch some videos of how pinion angles affect the rear tire rotation speeds....
if its not lined up properly or set up properly, you get oscillation of speed and it can upset the tire causing tire shake and other issues
theres actually a really good video showing the oscillation that is kind of older, guy has a fixture with a couple of wheels and a shaft and moves it around and you can see and hear what it does when its even off a little


Adjust pinion for what it typically rides at as you go down the track...
if its stays extended 4" ish the whole time, then you should set it at that extension
if its only at 4 in the beginning and settles back down to 2 shortly after, then you will want to set it at that 2" range

Tanks good info here.
Next summer i will get a go pro on the rear suspention to really see how much it seperates.
I only have a hand full of nos pass . I measured my suspention just before puting it to the barn for the winter. to find out for some reason that i was running very high A/S and short IC with small tires but it seems to work so far needs more testing.
