I had the same cam in my 355 but from crane. 252/260 110cl .630lift 11:1 compression
Same AFR210's in a 3400lb camaro w/ a glide went 11teens

I had a 383 sbc in my 55 chevy that went 11.60s
when a Comp Cam Part # 12-000-5 small base circle cam
Grind # CS 6264 / 6414
Lift .558
duration at .50 - 260/266

Had Dart 215 49 cc heads with flat top piston
HP 830 carb
Turbo 400 and 4:88 gears

Had I beam rods that had to be ground on some to fit
Got a new Motor....so that cam and lifters will be for sale

Thanks for the replies fellas. Paul what did your '55 weigh? I've got a turbo 400 and 4.10's in mine and 4,500 stall. Haven't driven it yet, cars not finished, so no times, but hoping for 11's n/a at least.

it weighs 3295 lbs without driver
It has a mini tiub with ladder bars and coil overs

It went the same et ans speed with 9" slicks and leaf springs. but the leaf springs were so old and worn out. I went with coil overs

I started racing a 7.50 1/8 mile index class, so I never tried to squeeze out anymore ET.

But it ran 7.40s 1/8 mile and 11.60 1/4 mile. I know it would have gone a bit faster with some tuning

got an 8" converter stalls around 4000

Yeah mines mini tubbed with ladder bar coils overs as well. Your set up really gives me hope it'll run the number, thank you!! :)
