Both Cars Must Stage within 45 Seconds of Both Pre-Staged Lights.

Tires are not as safe after that amount of Time.

Three Cars in Three Months Crashed from this just at Milan!

They should enforce this way harder after the bullshit happening at milan the last two months. How do these guys expect to make a full pass on tires that are cold as ice? Just seems kind of silly to put your car or even your life at risk, just to get that tiny bit of an advantage on the starting line. There has to be some way they can change the rules so this doesn't happen. What do you guys think? Would it be possible to say each driver has one minute once the beams are broke?

Agreed. As part of racing, that is the chance a person takes. However, with the heat of the moment, adrenaline pumping, etc, I don't think either one of them was thinking of the "what ifs".

What it comes down to, is no one wants to see someone get seriously injured or killed over something like that. That is why a rule should be put in place. Sort of like saying, it's their choice if they put a cage in their car---it isn't my life.... Know what I mean. There always needs to be some guidelines to keep things in check. JMHO....

Just remember one thing, nobody forced either to do what they did. They both chose to play and look what happened. Same as the ter races. Just my thoughts

I dont think cold tires were the cause of this. Look at the video and it seems as the driver was drifting towards the wall all the way down the track. No sudden movements at all.. Wonder what the whole story is..

I really wonder if he may had been looking at Millen and was drifting without knowing it. Then the sudden boom made him jerk the wheel hard to the right.. Not sure.. It would be cool if the driver or one of his crew members could give us some insight on this so we can, as racers, race safer...

thats real bad for turdbo cars :-D
I'm not sure why you think it's worse for turbo cars (unless the racer needs a long time to spool it because of their particular set-up). In the case of Millen and Halfacre (in the LONG one earlier this year), both of them can spool their turbos up pretty quick. So...in the case of Millen, he was just sitting there idling and the turbo engines are usually running smaller cams and less compression which would create less heat and be easier on parts. :-D

That's my .02
