i think it would be great. he is a innovator in motorsports and the nhra could use a little refresh if you ask me. i have been to his racetracks and i tell you they are second to none. top notch entertainment is what you get. i think the power that he has would do wonders for the nhra. not that nhra is failing in my opnion but it would be nice to see some changes. my .02

Sounds like it could be a good thing the only thing id worry about is if he (Mr Smith) would make changes to the way the media is reported and who gets access. If he sets it up like NASCAR currently operates ALOT of people would be out of a job. Its hard enough to get a media pass now from NHRA, for NASCAR its next to impossible.

He had a major falling out with the NHRA over the 4 wide format - to the point to where he was seriously considering pulling his tracks off the national event schedule. Cooler heads prevailed, but obviously he decided buying the NHRA out wasn't in his best interests.

I'm not so sure it would have been in NHRA's best interest, either.
