MEIHLS Emmett "Bruce" Meihls, age 64, of Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born April 8, 1946 in Celina, Ohio. Graduate of Borger High School in Texas. He was the owner and operator of Fast Racing Engines in Groveport. Survived by beloved wife of 45 years, Mary E. (Frogge) Meihls; beloved daughters, Yevette (Tim) Ice, Seville, Ohio, Dawn Ward, Urbana, Ohio and Eden Meihls, Kent, Ohio; grandchildren, Kyle, Kaitlyn and Chloe, and Frankie; father, Harold E. (Jan) Meihls, St. Louis, MI; sister, Dawn (Pat) Hettinger, Grove City, OH; brothers, Brent (Ginger) Meihls, Harrison, MI and Brad (Elaine) Meihls, Bowling Green, OH; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Friends may visit for a celebration of his life on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 12Noon-3 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. Goodspeed. Yvette is a heck of a good engine builder too so the apple didn't fall very far from the tree.

Her engines in Tim Ice's Super Late model essentially dominated the 100-lap series at Toledo that later became "The Iceman Series".
