I have took a realy small punch and heat the tap with a propane bottle torch, then tap on it lightly to try and get it to turn back out...Have also took realy small needle nose pliers and got it to turn back out after heating..I spray a little WD40 on the tap also..

They make something called a tap extractor. I did this a few years ago and thought I was screwed. Got this at a tool store.

A carbide drill bit will do it, but you need to be able to put the piece in a milling machine. You don't want to use carbide with a hand drill.

the mannor on how to remove really is based upon how it is STUCK...

and what the part is..and how and where it is located...

if the leading start threads of the broken off tap are bound up due to some stupid fuck twisting on a dull tap..then there is no way that a tap remover with the three or four thin blades is going to do anything...

a common now available mannor to remove is with a special grade of carbide...but it cannot be used in anything but a rigid milling machine and at 4000 rpms...

we do it all the time...
or it can be sent to a electrode type EDM man that knows what he is doing.....
