Anyone else drive 2 hours to see some heads up racing and only get to watch jets cars and dragsters??

Yep, and sitting in the back seat of that rental car sucked. My Phucking legs are still numb!!!

I love it when the site says that there will be qualifying at 3 and 6pm...but the 6pm part never happens...

Beer wasn't that good.

I saw the dew forming on the windows of all the race cars and started getting flashbacks of when I almost smacked both walls at Milan. Dew on the track surface and slicks are a bad combination. I wanted to see race cars run but I was glad they didn't send anybody down that track.

Soooo...we just bought more beer and had some guy in a jet truck blow dirt on us.

Dennis, sorry I didn't call ya.. We got there at around 6:00 I think.. Pretty much a jet truck shot rocks and dust in my eyes.. I blindly found Gliddens pit area.. I got an autograph from Bill Glidden, Bob Glidden and Shannon!! WoooHooo on a t-shirt!! Then I went home.. Well back to the hotel anyway..

Been down here all day today! Racing has been great till a Pro Mod hit the wall about 1000' down time since then, but some great passes from many cars. 2nd round isn't done yet but about to get started. Should have spent another day instead of taking a part time trip to watch a race! started the race with jet cars but the rest has been awesome.

I'm sure sundays show was great, we would have loved to stay another day but had to fly out at 6am sun. That is not the issue, the schedule stated "heads up qualifying at 3 and 6 on sat." We got there at 6 and didn't see one 10" tire car run all night, after being packed in a rental car for almost 2 hrs each way. At least the beer was cheap, got robbed at the gate though. On a better note, we had blast on the gokarts fri. night with monty and the crew. About 15 of us raided this little track, lets just say we didn't even make half a lap before we got shut down.

I was down there on Sunday till Mel Eves crashed his Pro Mod, then left, but prior to that the racing was great. I don't know about Saturday and why the schedule was off but sometimes things happen to throw a wrench into the program. Todd (the owner) usually does a good job at trying to keep the show on schedule. The 10.5 guys were running some great numbers like Dave Hance's 7.0s at 200+ in his new '05 Mustang. 8)

Well...We did ride the Top Fuel ride on yesterday (Sunday). Wasn't bad, but a little expensive ($40 for two runs). Definately a rush. It was on the other side of the big swing that we stopped by. They were two side by side Mustangs.
