My plan is to put the motor in the car and run it as is.
we're replacing the vavle springs and checked the bearing
It is a Bow-Tie Block build 640 hp on the dyno

Oliver rods
all-Pro 23 degree raised runner heads 245 spreadport (ported)
It has a crane cam 118251
the specs said 256/256 Duration at 50 (the engine builder specs showed 262/ 262)
lift 625/625
Lobe separation 106
it is a dry sump motor, which i will use if it fits under the chassic
It has a Bowtie intake ported to match the heads
He ran an 850. I'm going to run an 830 HP Hollyon a 2" spacer
It is an older motor that was not used much
I looked up the engine builder Brian at Duratech in Coopersvill,MI he said I would want to go with a larger camshaft for drag racing. The Motor was set-up for a short track 1/4mile where they wanted a quick response out of the corners
Got to get a new set of headers too.
Got a 55 chevy 3500lbs with driver and cast iron heads (old motor) will need to add a 10 point cage so that adds some weight too

Looking to run 6.5 1/8 mile n/a
I was thinking a 1050 dom. and a bigger cam
