Assuming the following, what would work best?
I can't do much about the weight, but the tires, trans and converter are all up for debate.
Ford read end, prefer a 9.5 gear.

Dominator Injected 535Cid w\twin88's
1600hp
3300lbs
Turbo400 Trans “Internal Gears TBD”
33 inch tires
< 7000RPM
~10% converter slippage?

Gear it for the trap speed/rpm you anticipate. I like to go thru the traps no more than 200-500rpm from max. Don't try to use some high ass ratio and lug it in high gear. Trying to make 1600hp at 6000 rpm will usually result in damage sooner or later.

i run 3.30's, more weight, more HP, less track-1/8th. with 1.97 first gear, 1.35 second.

A 3.89 isnt too far off. Id probably be in the 3.60-3.70 range.

no clue on 9.5" stuff, mine is 9". but these were sitting on somebodies shelve for years apparently, and got scooped up by the guy who built my car and i bought them. all the pro gears from 3.30 and lower numerically are hard to get a hold of.

A 3.89 isnt too far off. Id probably be in the 3.60-3.70 range.

The 10% slip was an assumed worst case, I don't have a converter yet. Did some checking over the weekend, I should be ok up to 7600rpm.

Very similar combinations, what size tire and transmission are you running? Where did you get the wastegate flange?

Chris, I found your tire size in another thread "33x18.5x15". How much tire growth are you seeing?

Wastegate flanges came with the Tial gates. I run a Rossler 210. I'm guessing around 1.5" tire growth. I use a 33.5x16.5x16 slick at the track.

Oh, Thats my old car. Sorry, I haven't updated my website in about 7 years. I really need to redo the whole website. Those were purchased from Innovative turbo when they were in business. You may want to check with (Josh) Deeds performance or Rick Head. They were cast iron and made for a T4 flanged turbo. I would not recommend them for your BBC setup.
