When I come off the transbrake at 4500rpm on two step, the car bogs and pops back through the blower? I tried messing with the rotor phasing a little but didn't help it. The timing curve starts at 44* ramping to about 36 at 4000rpm then drops slowly to 27* by 6000rpm. 400sbc, 8.87 compression, E-85, Pro Grid ignition. I believe Steve Morris says ignition problems pop through the exhaust but it seems like an ignition problem to me, except wideband stays steady at 11.1 afr? Sometimes it does it a little when I shift to 2nd too, but after the bog it takes off like crazy?

I'm gonna try again this weekend and play around with the rotor phasing. Thanks for the reply!

Had the exact same problem last fall.
Sent the grid back to MSD and it came back "no problem found, updated to newest soft ware".
This spring still had the problem, replaced the grid and problem solved.......

I "think" the trans brake solenoid on release that is putting a voltage spike to the grid that wacks out the grid
