I have a 65 mustang with a victor jr head and I have know for a header is 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 step. I am going to a larger head like a twisted wedge r head or a edelbrock victor head and I am going to make about 750 or 800 on motor plus I have a fogger I will squeeze 150 on top of that. Does anyone know who makes a larger header? Also I have trimmed the shock towers about 2inch on passenger side and 1.5 on the driver side or can I get away with headers I have know.:smt100

wow your gonna try and fit a bigger header in an original shock tower :smt102

I have a 66' and I've cut back my shock towers like you did an I use Hooker super comp headers. I can't imagine putting a bigge header in he tight space, unless you have some magic fabricating skills.

I just don't think its possible.

I cut my shock towers out and went with a mustang 2 suspension and had headers made which are 2inch to 2.125 to a 3.5 inch collector but then in a 436 cid that runs sub 9s N/A
