I have a Paxton supercharged Gen III Hemi using an efi XV intake manifold. Yeah, most of you never have heard of one, but these new Hemi's don't have all that much for aftermarket support which brings me to this question. The XV is a single plane with a large rectangle plenum with an oh so slight hump in the floor directly below the intake opening, with very short intake runners. Sitting on top is my home made throttle body elbow which was made from a Hemi throttle body spacer, a piece of 90* short radius elbow and a 1" 4150 open carb spacer. Since nobody can say for certain anything about the flow characteristics of this intake, a motorhead bud of mine suggested to install a 4 hole carb spacer in place of the open spacer for better air distribution under boost. Would this be a better alternative or more of a restriction?
