Damn.....76 views and no one has an opinion?

This is a 600ci engine with a medium size (.780 lift) roller cam and stock cam bore.

For most anything you do with a roller cam and babbit bearings you can't go wrong with a teflon coated Dura-Bond bearing. For the most part DB makes bearings for everyone out there. Coating adds protection against dry start. After the engine has sat awhile with spring pressures pushing down on the cam the oil film will get squeased out.

My $.02

I like the aluminum bearings (coated) because they'll withstand higher loading over a longer period without smushing out or cratering like the babbit stuff does.

Talk to Jerry at Calico, he should be able to help.

Thanks for the replies guy's. I remember Durabond being the shit, but that was 10-15 years ago. That is the last time I built anything with standard bearings.

Don't you run rollers in all those cup engines? Why make a BBC run any different?:)
Hell, this is a low budget deal for myself. Kind of a swap meet/racing junk special. I can't afford the nice shit!!!
