So i went shooting today despite the cold. I had 4 targets left on position 5 call for a target, pull trigger. click. figured a missfire. held down range and waited, went to pull the action open and it wouldnt budge. Had a problem like this before where i loosened the barrel and it came right out. so i did it moved a bit but wouldnt go. so i pulled on it still wouldnt come. got the barrel most of the way off (right now i just want the live shell out of the gun so i can go into the shooters shack and figure this out). got the shell out. go in take out the trigger and look inside, one half of the fork was lodged against the stock, the other was bent but not touching anything . So im not sure what happened. Ive read about this happening if you pull the trigger when you take it apart to clean it but never while shooting. One guy told me that something was stuck up on the trigger? This happen to anyone? Please enlighten me. and any tips to keep this from happening again
Heres some pics of the carnage
