just picked up a set,price was to good to pass up,they are 320 iron heads ,11/32 stems 2.300 intakes 1.880 exhuast. my question is how far of is the flow numbers posted by merlin on there site?

I ported a set of those about 10 years... fucking sucked!! those bitches are heavy and really hard.. :smt089

Just finished a set that was mildly polished. They hit 400 cfm at .700" but backed after that. I reworked them with a better throat and valve job and they hit 420 with no reversion. EX port was at 300. They will make power, but weigh a ton!

anyone check to see how far off the numbers are in stock form from what merlin says they flow?

I just bought a set of these also. Going on a 496. I shooting for 700hp is this realistic

The rest of the motor consist of 13.5/1 comp, .761 roller cam,454r Intake and a dominator carb. Stil buying parts to put it all together. And ideas on what it could make.

What is the CI of your Merlin III and what do you call mild cam?
