Finally getting my '69 "052" ZL-1 put together after a while of R&D and research.

Here's the question:

We have the first cam bearing not 100% and I'm wondering if there is a cam bearing out there that has on OD of greater diameter? Could go roller bearing but would like to keep it Babbitt.

Should be a .010 over size for that application...... Might have to buy a set just to use one though.....

I recently had to do it on a front cam bearing on a older bowtie BBC

Go to the GMP=55 which is a babbit bearing for a 55MM cam core and a housing bore of 2.282.

Ya thought of that but just had a custom cam made with a bunch of options so would like to try and stay standard core size.

Funny I have 54 mm and 55 mm cams in my other motors. Just like something with a bit bigger OD but standard core size
