alt.bracketry

i made mine in my chevelle, i removed the factory upper mount and let the alt. swing down so the lower bracket is now the upper bracket, bought one of those old universal chrome sbc mounts from jegs for like $12.00 or so( it looks like a long arch with the long slot in it to adjust belt tension) bolted it to the alt. then made sure it swung in the same arc as the alt. did and made a mount for it all to bolt to the head and block.

I purchased that bracket and spacers I think off of ebay. A guy was laser cutting them as copys of CSR's bracket. I think you can find this same bracket setup online by looking through jegs or summit. It is a CSR bracket setup. The spacers may need to be altered....shimmed or cut down in length. It just depends on the casting of the alternator. I turned some new ones on the lathe .025 longer but Im very picky on having perfect alighnment.
I spent alot of money and time on alternators and brackets finding something I liked. I very much like this setup.
