i am slowly putting together my engine and wondering what anyone is doing to heads right out of the box? I have BB2xtra's and was just planning on cleaning up the castings and port matching.

head are bare so would there be any benefit to going to bigger valve(s) or any other mod worth while?

setup is a TT 565

I'd post this in the N/A section. I know it's a turbo combo, but you'll get a lot better responses and ideas there.

I saw your cam thread and I think most of the cams are close. I don't spec many big block turbo camshafts as almost all the stuff I do is small block oriented. That said engine design is engine design. You left out the intake manifold, compression and weight of your vehicle, but I'd roughly be around 268/273 .805/.770 116lsa.
