I use the GM tablets as insurance in mine. They work well and don't cost much.

I have used Bars Leak in the past, depending on how bad the leak is, it works pretty well. Never seen it effect the pump. We had a small split in a cylinder wall on an alcohol sprinter engine a long time ago. Put some in just hoping to make the night, ended up finishing the season with it before we pulled it out and sleeved it.

I believe your suposed to put a couple eggs in with the pepper..no joke..I work in a radiator shop, and the old guy that trained me 20 years ago told me about that trick..I have also heard of putting oatmeal in the radiator..BUT,I have pulled the tanks off of radiators before, and the inlet tanks that had bars leak in them were full of the pellets that didnt dissolve..possible that the people didnt drive it long enough after dumping it in..

Bars has a product now that is like pepper, I have used it with success in late model cars to seal intake leaks on the composite o ring type gaskets.

I always added the stuff cold and before a 50+ mile ride - dont forget to cycle the heat valve to do the whole system.

Pepper will indeed work.

The GM Tablets are only good for a few months per instructions on the package. The assembly plants put 1-2 tablets in every new vehicle.

K & W Block seal is the best stuff I have ever used ( same as Moroso's Ceramic Seal ? ) PIA to use but the stuff works great !
