Have a intenally balanced 406 with a 8" balancer thats in pretty rough shape...Looking at replacing ....would there be any benefits in going to a 6"...such as weight?Or should I stick with a 8"?

I've ran different sizes and saw no performance difference. The "old guys" say the bigger damper will absorb more engine harmonics. I say just go with a name brand such as ATI and you won't have a problem.

Stick with the 8", the 6 3/4" is for 3.600 stroke and under @ 8000

rpm or less unless tuned for more rpm, the 8" is the right chicken

for any stroke over 3.600 as per ATI.......
