The Outlaw 10.5 class is brought to you will special thanks from the following sponsors: Harris Motorsports, Shannon Mechanical Heating & A/C, Ferrick Construction, Red Alert Refinishing, Montana Brothers, Competitive Wiring, J&E Automotive

Qualifying Round 1

DRIVER R/T ET MPH

Dave O' Donnell - 0.173 6.90 @ 78
Steve Hicks - 0.212 4.98 @ 144

O' Donnell went 60 feet and had a large backfire through the exhaust and shut off. Hicks who smoked the tires earlier in a test pass comes out and lays down a nice soft run.

Steve Klueffel - 0.042 5.01 @ 144
Mo Hall - 0.031 4.73 @ 159

Klueffel is slowly working on getting his supercharged Mustang to go down and seemed to chatter the tires about 330 feet out but he drove through it. Hall mades a nice run but slightly off his usual 4.60's range

Joe Newsham - 0.060 4.62 @ 164
Charlie Dolbin - 0.103 7.31 @ 60

Number one and two in points always a battle between these two. Newsham made a nice pass to put him number one so far. Dolbin blew the tires off hard about 100 feet out and got crossed up and shut it down

Larry Wood - 0.093 6.43 @ 91
Mike Bradford - 0.051 8.87 @ 80

Wow both cars blew the tires off. Bradford's car usually goes right down, but he went up in smoke on the hit and Wood went out about 100 feet and overpowered the track and had to lift.

Paul Efontis - 0.44 4.95 @ 151
Daniel Fredler - 1.086 5.33 @ 138

Efontis coming out in his inline 4 cylinder Toyota makes a nice run. Fredler only 21 years old running the twin turbo Chevy II makes a soft clean run

Brian Weddle - 0.137 5.17 @ 126
Keith Sexton - 0.06 4.72 @ 160

Weddle's car was moving around he had to lift. Sexton made a nice run to put him in the field but was leaking trans fluid on the pass

Richard Sexton - 0.034 4.54 @ 166

Well Sexton is always a heavy hitter and he continues to show it everytime out as he throws his GTO into the number one spot and the first car in the 4.50s range today

Qualifying Round 2

DRIVER R/T ET MPH

Steve Hicks - 0.144 5.45 @ 142
Dave O' Donnell - 0.252 4.82 @ 157

O ' Donnell makes a nice run to improve on his last pass put him number five in qualifying so far. Hicks did not improve on his last run and remains number seven so far.

Mo Hall - 0.059 4.74 @ 155
Steve Klueffel - 0.427 5.04 @ 146

Well both cars are consistent today. Hall backs up his 4.73 pass and Klueffel backed up his 5.01 pass but neither driver improves and Klueffel remains on the bump so far.

Larry Wood - 0.052 5.63 @ 118

Wood blew the tires off again as his traction woes continue and he does not make it into the field.

Daniel Fredler - 1.637 5.39 @ 134
Joe Newsham - 0.111 4.63 @ 164

Newsham backs up his 4.60 run from earlier keeping him number two in qualifying and Fredler did not improve and does not make it into the field.

Mike Bradford - 0.048 4.94 @ 146
Paul Efontis - 0.42 5.31 @ 125

Bradford needed a good run to make it in the field and he did so. Efontis was smoking hard going down the track and did not improve but he remains in the field. Klueffel in his supercharged Mustang is no longer in the field

Keith Sexton - n/t @
Brian Weddle - 0.168 4.95 @ 143

Weddle comes out of no where to make it into the field so as the number 8 qualifer and knocks off Steve Hicks in his supercharged Nova.
Richard Sexton - 0.078 4.49 @ 165

Sexton was already sitting number one but he takes a hailmary pass and runs sub 4.50's. Just to note…the number two qualifier is Newsham with a 4.62…a notable gap!

Final Qualifying Order

1. Richard Sexton 06 GTO 4.49 @ 165
2. Joe Newsham 03 Cobra 4.62 @ 164
3. Keith Sexton 69 Camaro 4.72 @ 160
4. Mo Hall 94 Camaro 4.73 @ 159

Round 1 Eliminations

DRIVER R/T ET MPH

(L) Steve Hicks - 0.116 6.17 @ 81
(W) Brian Weddle - 0.048 5.01 @ 142

Weddle had to be the favorite in this one as Hicks not knowing he could be an alternate had just made a time run and came right back to the staging lanes without touching the car to line up against Weddle. Hicks car left hard and popped and shut off around 300 feet and Weddle made another consistent 5.0' pass for the win.

(W) Mo Hall - 0.019 4.93 @ 152
(L) Dave O' Donnell - 0.013 4.94 @ 151

WHAT a drag race. O' Donnell recently was caught sleeping on the tree in his last race so he was on his game today, but didn't have enough to muscle by Hall who was just as good. MOV .008

(W) Keith Sexton - 0.493 4.70 @ 157
(L) Mike Bradford - 0.044 6.12 @ 97

A major disappointment for Bradford who left on Sexton who was sleeping in the tree but went into tire smoke and Sexton drove on by for the win.

(W) Joe Newsham - 0.099 4.63 @ 164
(L) Daniel Fredler - 0.027 5.06 @ 152

Fredler was the third alternate and had a tough customer in Newsham. Fredler had his best ET of the day and cut a good light, but Newsham was on his game and is in bracket fashion in the 4.60's

Round 2 Eliminations

DRIVER R/T ET MPH

(W) Mo Hall - 0.066 4.89 @ 153
(L) Brian Weddle - 0.057 5.01 @ 143

A nice side by side race. Hall left with the wheels in the air and bounced the car off the ground a few times and had to peddle but holds on to the win against Weddle who runs yet another 5.01.

(W) Joe Newsham - 0.176 5.82 @ 103
(L) Keith Sexton - n/t @

Well Sexton does not dodge another bullet and instead of being dead late, he pushes through the tree. Newsham went out passed the 60 foot marker and lifted but still moves on to the finals. Newsham is gaining valuable points against Dolbin who did not qualify. However, Newsham will not have lane choice against Hall.

Finals

DRIVER R/T ET MPH

Mo Hall - 0.026 4.72 @ 154
Joe Newsham - 0.065 4.62 @ 164

Mo Hall finds himself in another final and last month he lost on a holeshot, but he has a tough customer in Newsham. Hall gets the holeshot on Newsham but Newsham has been powering in the 4.60's all day long and drives around Hall for the win. Congrats to J&E Automotive and crew for an excellent job today.
