Qualifying Round 1
DRIVER R/T ET MPH
Dave O' Donnell - 0.173 6.90 @ 78
Steve Hicks - 0.212 4.98 @ 144
O' Donnell went 60 feet and had a large backfire through the exhaust and shut off. Hicks who smoked the tires earlier in a test pass comes out and lays down a nice soft run.
Steve Klueffel - 0.042 5.01 @ 144
Mo Hall - 0.031 4.73 @ 159
Klueffel is slowly working on getting his supercharged Mustang to go down and seemed to chatter the tires about 330 feet out but he drove through it. Hall mades a nice run but slightly off his usual 4.60's range
Joe Newsham - 0.060 4.62 @ 164
Charlie Dolbin - 0.103 7.31 @ 60
Number one and two in points always a battle between these two. Newsham made a nice pass to put him number one so far. Dolbin blew the tires off hard about 100 feet out and got crossed up and shut it down
Larry Wood - 0.093 6.43 @ 91
Mike Bradford - 0.051 8.87 @ 80
Wow both cars blew the tires off. Bradford's car usually goes right down, but he went up in smoke on the hit and Wood went out about 100 feet and overpowered the track and had to lift.
Paul Efontis - 0.44 4.95 @ 151
Daniel Fredler - 1.086 5.33 @ 138
Efontis coming out in his inline 4 cylinder Toyota makes a nice run. Fredler only 21 years old running the twin turbo Chevy II makes a soft clean run
Brian Weddle - 0.137 5.17 @ 126
Keith Sexton - 0.06 4.72 @ 160
Weddle's car was moving around he had to lift. Sexton made a nice run to put him in the field but was leaking trans fluid on the pass
Richard Sexton - 0.034 4.54 @ 166
Well Sexton is always a heavy hitter and he continues to show it everytime out as he throws his GTO into the number one spot and the first car in the 4.50s range today

Weddle comes out of no where to make it into the field so as the number 8 qualifer and knocks off Steve Hicks in his supercharged Nova.
