You either clip the end off with a cutter or I have seen a plunger type device that will pull the end off. I like the torpedo ends and those you have to cut. I dont see how it would affect the taste.Do you guys clip the end off prior smoking?
I heard there are few methods of doing that and each of them do affect flavor.
