Anyone having any success with hydrogen cells

With the diesel prices going so crazy, and not wanting to give up all our trucks, we love, We have built a hydrogen cell and it seems to be making lots of hydrogen, BUT we can't seem to increase mpg more than 2-3 mpg. We have talked to several mechanics and they say the mass air flow sensors and the computer is keeping the truck from having anymore increase. We are pumping the hydrogen into the air chamber of the turbo. We get great power and you can definitely feel how much smoother and cleaner my truck run with it. Is anyone else doing any hydrogen testing? Or have any ideas on how to trick the computer?

What type of feedback sensor do diesel trucks use control mixture? Do they use O2 sensors like gasoline engines?

If it uses a O2 sensor you might try something like this:

It shifts the signal of the O2 sensor to prevent the computer from adding additional fuel.

Do you have an EGT gauge on your truck, have you noticed any shift with and without Hydrogen.

What type of cell are you using?

I've started doing research, but haven't built anything yet.

I had a customer today that has installed 4 generators in series. He has claimed a 20% increase mileage. He told me you need 1 jar per liter size of the motor it is used for. I plan to get back with him and give it a shot. I'll need 6 for mine. I keep you guys posted on the progress.

I hooked up one for each cylinder, I now have to empty the tank every 300 miles or it overflows. I dont know what i am going to do with all this gas.

My truck is a F350, 2000, 7.3 liter, diesel. No, I don't believe there are O2 sensors on diesels. I believe thats what the mass air flow sensor does for diesels. I'm not sure what egt gauge is, but I did buy a scan gauge so I could watch my immediate mpg and rpms. The cell runs on water, made of pvc. Thanks for your responce.

George, EGT is Exhaust Gas Temperature. At least on a gasoline engine it is a good indicator that you are not too lean when you start trying to fool the computer into using less fuel. As you are using 2H+0 gas in the cylinders you can get the same power using less gasoline. This leaves uncombusted oxygen (from the atmosphere) in the exhaust. The O2 sensor thinks its lean and tries to add fuel unless you trick the computer.

EGT gauges are fairly common in the diesel world, when you start upping the boost its a strong indicator of when you reach "too much"

Is your cell plates or concentric tubes? Straight voltage or pulsed?

Hydrogen on earth is not a fuel. It is only an energy carrier.

There is more hydrogen in gasoline than there is in liquid hydrogen.

Electrolysis is not usually your best way to generate hydrogen.

The available energy in a hydrogen flame is very low.

Hydrogen can rot metal through an embrittlement and will easily diffuse through most other materials.

A closed-loop electrolysizer stops a car in less than its coasting distance.

Pulsing, ac, or sparking will only reduce electrolysis efficiency.

Water is not a fuel. It is an ash.

Another name for an on-board closed loop auto hydrogen generator is a dynamic brake. One that, if activiated, causes your car to stop in much less than its normal coasting distance.
There are always heat losses in all alternators, electrolysizers, and heat engines. All closing your engine to alternator to electrolysizer loop does is cascade these loses.

A friend tried one on his Dodge diesel. We messed with that piece of shit for over a week, and ran Four tanks of fuel thru it. It picked up ZERO. The guy that he bought it from said it did'nt work because it needed a bubbler, so we did that. It still did'nt make a difference. So thanks to PayPal he got his money back minus shipping. But I guess we should have tried that automatic feedback loop!! LOL!

Paul H. - If anyone ever shows up at the track with a Water Based Power Adder, feel free to laugh your ass off at them, but they may have the last laugh, after all you can't protest something that would slow a car down . . . . Protesting would be admitting that it works.

Bubblers: Bubblers are for safety, nothing more. Should a flame or other ignition source come into contact with the Hydrogen/Oxygen gas mixture a bubbler will prevent the flame from reaching the electrolysis cell an causing a major explosion. The Bubbler should be built with a pop-off lid or pressure release valve also.

Disclaimer: Hydrogen is DANGEROUS, do not experment with it. That is all.

Do you have anything more current? This document is ten years old. I realize that the laws of physics haven't changed in the last ten years, but I would imagine that there have been some advances made in the field since then.

Just curious... I'm not picking a side yet, but I would like to educate myself a little further on the subject.

You've GOT to be kidding me. How is it 'negativity' to insist on proof, or at the very bare minimum, not violating well-established science at every turn? Folks like you are why there's a market for thousand-dollar digital audio cable and wooden amplifier knobs.

I should really just stop trying to keep people from getting ripped off by these kinds of scams and start scamming instead. I could certainly come up with something more believable...
