can't speak for your local Lowes.
but I've bought alot of appliances from them .
mainly because when I ask for the "best price"
the usually will discount 15-20%,
I've bought for 3 house in last few yrs, ea time same thing,
said they would beat ANY deal! (I bring sears sales ad)

they dont advertise it....but every cashier @ lowes has a barcode they can scan that gives a discount for anyone who is/was in the military. but you have to ask. its 10%.

Harry, try HHGreg up where ciruit city was. They will probably be lower to begin with and they will beat any price you can find anywhere.

Find the manager of the department and tell him you really, really like the appliances but the prices are a little out of your budget. He'll discount them. I bought my refrig @ Lowes and they discounted it.

Found the front loading washer I wanted @ Home Depot but the sale went off the day before I went in. The department head didn't give me the sale price but he did knock $100 off.

I bought all 4 Whirlpool Gold there new last January. They knocked 500 off the price with free delivery and removal of my old appliances. Then I got the 400 dollar rebate from energystar ....100 each piece..

We picked out a stove and microwave totaling $1073--they had a 10% deal sign up all over the place which brought it to $965.
I asked to talk to a manager and told her I have about $900 to work with and she did some key punching and asked if $893 works?!!!

And I did the 18 months no interest so my WIFE can pay for it on their dime--lol

I would of never thought to negotiate but I will every time now!!

This is why they are now the largest appliance seller in the US. They really work with you. Every time I go into the appliance dept at our Lowes the guy asks me how everything is working.
