I have an older Tial 44mm WG and I was wondering if anyone has a pic of where they drilled/tapped to add a dome pressure sensor.

Easiest way is to just remove the dome/cap and find the thickest area for tapping/threading and will not be in the way of the spring perch. Doesn't really matter other than that.

easiest way is to buy a stainless steel T fitting from mcmaster carr so you dont have to drill and tap. Screw it in and thread the sensor in one port and the air line to the other

I drilled wrong the first time, don't be me.

Take the cap off and look. I prefer not to share the DPS and the top gate. Have no idea if it matters.

this setup is not the best. can wind up constantly chasing its tail so to speak. better off having the sensor in a seperate port so the wastegate volume acts as a buffer.

It is preferred to have the sensor and incoming air 90 degrees to each other. If its not chasing then fine if it is then that could be the reason.

Just drilled my Tial 44 tonight, 11/32 drill and ran the 1/8 npt tap shallow to keep the sensor as far as possible from the spring.
