I tried that once, I think its better to buy a complete computer. I shopped computer shopper for the cheapest prices and saved about $100 dollars until I ordered an incompatible hard drive which wiped out any savings due to restocking fees.

I recently bought a DELL work station for less than $2500, 8 Gb ram and a high end video card suited for CAD. The gaming video cards as good as they are wont cut, atleast thats what my research resulted in. Im assuming your talking about inventor series ACAD, if just regular Acad then any standard up todate PC will do.
