ok im listening to his new stuff,its all r&b and rythmic{like house and techno}.

now usually i would rip artists apart for these attempts but it is cornell and he seems to still get the message across-but im also a diehard fan-have met him a few times and have listened heavily since fop{real fans know fop}

anyone have an opinion on this new stuff?

Audioslave was one of my all time favorite bands. Cornell and Morello, cant go wrong with that combo. I dont know what happened there but hopefully they do something again in the future. Havent heard his new stuff but heard other people talk about it. I say he'll be back to screaming soon.

although i will admit i was an old def leppard fan and the ***** shit they make now is just dumb-i hope cornell doesnt get sucked into that trend

Well I like certain types of music and thats not it. I'm not going to support an artist because he changes from rock to rap (i know its not rap just making a point) just because its him. I felt the same way with Deftones. Their last album was crap to me, they covered 80's songs and I hate 80's mainstream music. There are others but its too early for me to think.

Haha I dont mind being wrong. I love diversity too. I have stuff from ACDC to slipknot to led zepplin but its all "rock" in some form or fashion

Cornell is not know for how well he can sing but how his voice is applied to his music. To me, it just doesnt fit with his new stuff

ive sen him live so many times,its almost painful because even though he screams alot-all his old stuff was still recorded,sample,rerecorded and smapled again{allot on my old roomates stuff-i lived with his sound engineer as a roommate for awhile}-even at lallapolooza i had to get drunk to realize he was off key from his usual off key stuff


but thats just cornell's style-or was

now hes spending alot of time in sweden and overseas where this melodic crap is all over the place-but like i said its his lyrics even if it isnt a typical beat and style of his
