Is it OK to weld the tabs on the side of the tube. Most of the time I see them on the top or bottom. Thanks for the help.

I usually weld them diagonally at roughly 31 degrees from plumb, vectoring away from the fulcrum...

For the ARB tabs on the housing, yes you can weld them on the side of it too if thats where it needs to be.
