will a 200 amp 16 volt alternator charge 16 volt batteries or should i just use one batterie...thanks

If your batteries have six hundred cranking amps each, you should be able to run the alternator.
600 + 600 = 1200 per hour. 1200 divided by 60 minutes = 200

If you weight over 200 lbs it should mean your batteries will last a minute after you start the car.

I'm just messing around. Of course it will charge the both batteries. The batteries are already wired together if it is a race car. Is it on a race car or a stereo?

Race car, you have to wire the red wire from the alternator to the open side of the safety shut off or the car will keep running......

yes it is on a race car,and thanks a bunch man.what kind of alternator should i get.i heard some good things about powermast but im not sure.dont know much about electrical

Screw Powermaster.. Some people have good luck, some like myself dont.. Mine burns up a few times a yr.. I keep spare parts in the car trailer LOL

I'd look somewhere else personally... I keep meaning too, but hell I can rebuild that thing in a few mins and parts are cheap, so screw it.
