As title.
I want to run a modified EGR valve as part of an anti-lag setup, which would be on a seperate pipe off the turbo collector.
With the melting point of aluminium being about 650degC, even with the pipe facing away from the flow of the exhaust gas, I am worried about it melting.
How far away is safe?

Going by these pics, surprisingly close is ok?

I know a lot of you guys have dealings with alloy exhaust components so may be able to help :)
