I think I have made up my mind on what I want to do. I wanted to get a little advice from you guys. I have a 408ci 13.1 aluminum headed SBC in my race car. I think I want to run the motor on alky and run a second fuel sys. With 112 or something to run the nitrous side. Any ideas on what size carb ill need and how much will I gain from alky? I live in texas and it is 100+ down here when we race...
I went a tenth faster with an alky dominator than the gas dominator, and the gas carb was tuned on a chassis dyno, the alky was a Rupert we had built back in the 70's for a totally different type of combo.
Fuel pressure won't change, but you will be able to run more timing. - I don't race sbc's, so can't help you there. Talk to Rupert or one of the good alky carb places and get one from them.
We got ours from pro systems and love it. We had a stand alone system for the nitrours. it worked good
