Hey All:
Have this old 24' pace trailer with torsion axles on it. Recently took a trip and both axles died (blew the bearing caps off, smoke coming out). Trailer had been recently lubed, and why both at once? Whatever.
Had a pair of brand new Dexter torsion axles installed and took a 100 mile trip last weekend. The trailer, which had always tracked super straight with no trouble was swaying like crazy. Many white knuckle moments on this short trip. Wasn't windy, same car I always haul, in the same spot on the trailer. Tire pressure was good. Tires aren't super great, but they're the same ones I had before.
Any thoughts? It doesn't appear there's any adjustment for alignment on this trailer.
Thanks,
Steve
