The first 19 qualified cars are all 68 and 69 Camaros. WTF makes that car so popular? When did this class turn in to a spec body class? Boooooooooring.
There's a huge difference. They are pretty much required to run a mustang in NMRA.i see u run nmra, what type of car do u race?

I mean, I get it. It seems like a funny statement coming from a guy who used to race NMRA. But the NMRA in most classes is open to all years of mustang AND other ford bodied, ford powered vehicles. So you still do see a wide variety of fords. Its far from seeing full fields of fox body mustangs.....2005 NMRA EFI/REN Champions

Yep what he said! You can cure that by fielding a dozen of whatever you like.
Has here ever been a more popular drag car than a '68-69 Camaro?
How about a mix of willys, vettes, camaros, and mustangs????Would you rather it was a 16 car field of '63 split window Corvettes like it was in the 90s?
