Does anyone here agree with the adrl when they say Quickest & fastest.... on the planet. Are they saying that a 200mph outlaw car is faster outright then a 250mph legal doorslammer/pro mod

from compplus:
"When Sheikh Khalid Al-Thani of Qatar covered the eighth mile at South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) in just 3.63 seconds at 212.49 miles per
hour Apr. 23, he became the quickest and fastest “doorslammer” driver in the world."

So 212mph is faster than 252mph is it?

Ray Commiso: 252.57mph

I have nothing against them getting records, but the way they are claimed to be the fastest outright just shits me.

Yeah I know that these cars are bad ass & flying in the 8th, but There are cars in the qtr that go even faster than 212mph.

BTW. Record for our TD's down here are low/flat 3.80's in legal trim (2750lb, c blower,108% over), and 200.06mph on the eigth, en route to 240/250mph 5.8-6.0 passes

Who cares what they claim? There are lots of people in racing that claim all sorts of stuff.. True racers and fans
know the truth.

true... however, try and run that same setup in the 1/4.
Blower cars its not a big deal... dunno about the others. They'd lose a mph or 2, may be a few hundredths.
