Right now I have Beck sheet metal intake with a forward facing 105. I was thinking of going with a new top and an Accel 4500 throttle body. Ive been told this will make more power. Just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience doing so. Is the 4500 the way to go? Motor is a 454 LSX block, 245 Trick Flows (done by TEA), Bullet Solid roller, 12.5 comp, Beck intake with Nitro Dave dual stage plate system.

I have a buddy with a brand new Accel thats why I was going with one. Just want to see if its worth changing over for H/P.

Anytime the air has to change directions you are loosing power. Bigger the better

The air changes directions with the accel 4150 tb?

If done correctly you have a big volume of air to draw from in the cowl area.

Elbow is not going to make more power than a carb style set up.

Since I am drive by wire, Clay Forrester(Dragzilla is his screen name), makes an adapter to mount my throttlebody vertically above my 4150 flange. Then he is going to custom make a carb style air cleaner setup. Which will draw in air from a cowl hood.
