I have a jeep srt 8 twin turbo project on the lift right now and just wondering if I would have better boost control with the wastegates mounted closer to the manifolds or closer to the turbos ?? The turbos are mounted just inside the front bumper with approx. 4.5' of tubing between the manifold and the exhaust housing..

What we are saying is that as long as the gate has priority, its going to work as the pressure will be the same no matter where in the pipe feeding the turbo, IE backpressure. However with that being said.... if you bleed boost right near the exhaust manifolds, it might add some lag if it was ever "pedalled" as it has to refill/charge the run of pipe leading to the turbo, if that makes sense. Atleast thats my thought process.
