I like it! We always carry a black eye in the D, but we are proud of our city heritage. It might be screwed up, but it is ours.

And that is what happens to a city and this country if keep shipping all our job
out of the country.
Or that is what happens when you demand too much to do your job, your employer finds more efficient alternatives.

Your saying we had a monpoly
clearly.

what else would you call the us auto industry being the only source of mass produced automotive products in the entire world for nearly 3/4 of a century.

the decline of detroit correlates almost 100% with the rebuilding of both the german and japanese industries.

thanks for the memories of when i grew up in detroit. as far as im concerned the greatest city in the usa. thats where the muscle car era began and still is.

The Detroit area was a great place to live in. Things sure have changed since I moved in 98'. Sorry to say I am glad I didn't stick around for the city's demise. The Union and Corporate greed brought the whole state down to one of the welfare states.
