Does a 7531 box have a built in 3 step?
or a start retard feature ?
also can i use it to use to activate my electric shifter ?

7531 does have a three step build in it along with a start retard feature.

7531 has a couple of differant ways to controll the activation of your electric shifter, the box only gives a ground to control this so you must ues a relay to carry the currant.

jeff the 7531 is nhra illegal in most classes...smp will not allow it due to it's ability for traction control etc

you want the 7535, or 7520, or 75301, or 7530T ...many are using the Power Grid 7730 in line with the digital 7..american and diamond put in the 7530T...i'll check mine this morning and let you know...call david lanning or facebook him...he's very good on this "stuff"

Illegal in NHRA/IHRA except NHRA Nitrous PRO MOD

Thanks for the props Greg ;) If you plan to bracket race, you want to get the 7530T or the 75301 (my favorite if you do not have a data logger as it can rpm trend for you). There was 1 race at Norwalk where they went through and looked at digital boxes, the 7531 would of got you the boot.

Also if you dont have a coil a HVC or HVC2 is a great choice, you can use a pro power coil but they arent even close to the hvc's :) Hope this helps
