Hello I did a search and read through 6 pages of tube or no tube questions, I know it comes up every week. What I would like to know is if anybody knows for sure what effect adding them or removing them has on reaction time? I am a bottom bulb racer and I have run my slicks tubeless for 10 years. I do quite well but I have a red lighting problem. I have everything turned down as much as I dare, launch RPM, tire pressure, etc. I shallow stage and have the biggest front tires I can get in there. The only thing that keeps me in the green is ballast (about 130lbs). If I leave where I'm comfortable I go .030 red. I'm wondering if adding tubes might slow them down a bit? Thanks.

Might try wiring a millisecond timer to your trans brake (if you have one) and set it up to delay the brake release. Just a thought.

RYAN- A timer would be illegal in my class.

HEMIROC- why do you think so? Because it will make the sidewall stiffer?
