Considering SSO guys ran well into the 7s with a 91mm turbo i dont see why you couldnt with a good hooking radial car.

NMRA drag radial class has gone 7.9's with an 85mm.

Actually an NMRA car has gone 8.0's with an 85mm and an 88mm in competition, no 7's yet. Johnny K went a high 7.90 at Milan with an 88mm at 3250ish on a test pass.

I would think a 91mm at that weight should be good for 7.80's or so. I have been an 8.26 at 173 with an 88mm at 3420 with a MT 325 if that matters.

These low 8 second 88mm combos, how much boost, 28/29?

Boost is relative to how efficient the motor is. That airflow may make 30 lbs on your combo, but only 15 lbs on a more efficient combo. Boost is just a number, doesnt really mean much.

I think they are asking due to the PR efficiency's of the turbo.

I think John Kovich(spelling) just went a 7 in NMRA trim.

IIRC there was a post from some of the NMRA DR guys discussing boost levels, most around or under 20 psi on the 360ci pushrod combos

Oh and Kolivas is selling one of his 360ci combos dirt cheap, would be alot of tech and development in that package.

Mine makes between 22 and 25 pounds of boost. John Kolivas went a 7.98 I believe but it was a test and tune pass, the NMRA won't recognize a T and T pass even if it was bad ass.

Understood about the boost being relative, that's why it's interesting to see how little or how much folks are boosting with 88's to run low 8's and 175mph. You guys running 9:1 typically? ARe your best runs with C16?

It still doesn't sound like you understand John. ;)

On your motor you probably have decent heads, but its still a small motor, so its probablly gonna take alot of pressure.
