Powerglide came in from Coan, new valve covers, better thicker rails, stamped steel ones were leaking, put in new precision products shifter. Ordering converter soon and then get this thing put back together.
Figured I'd update. Raced the car last at Mid Michigan motorplex super pro challenge. After that brought the car home and started mini tub process. Also went to nine inch, narrowed. 15x10 wheel 3" BS, lightweight spool, light weight 4.30 gear set. Team z tube k member and a arms, strange race brakes all the way around. Also ordered fiberglass hatch, hood and doors.
Cool. What do you think your car weighs? It's got to be quite a bit less than 3000 lbs? That's a good time for a 302 and an auto. I always think the early mustangs like mine are light until I see a stripped fox body.
Dropped car off to another racer/buddy pretty good with fabrication work. Welded in my anti roll bar, tabs on the housing to secure brake line, tabs for straps, mini tubs, floor in the hatch area, made some side panels and mounted fuel cell and battery box, he did a really nice job ! Turned out great !
Took the car down to my work and sprayed it. First time I've ever sprayed a car. Didn't turn out too bad. Single stage Nason paint. Orange rock effect.
