The guidance we got from Strange was that the nodular case was for heavy street duty use. The aluminum case is good for sub 1500 HP applications, but can work for more HP. They just shit the pinion supports out eventually as HP goes up. The Ultra Case was designed to address those problems. Neither aluminum case is designed for full time street/highway use. We've used them before, but not for continuous duty like a normal street car.
so would you say that the regular strange alum case will work on a small tire car with 1800 hp,strange says 800 to 900,i have used it up to 1500 hp with out failer,but i am going to step it up next year
Expect to eventually toss the pinion support out of it. As long as you're ok with that (which means the 3rd member and gears get trashed), then you can run it. Millen spit out a standard case earlier this year. So, if you're thinking about stepping it up it's one of the parts that you will likely break eventually.
